Beef neck bones can be either recreational or consumable depending on your dog. Beef neck bones are appropriate for gentle chewers and should not be given to aggressive chewers or gulpers as the bone is more dense.
Generally, it is best practice to take away the bone once the meat and connective tissue has been consumed.
**IMPORTANT NOTE: ALWAYS SUPERVISE YOUR DOG WITH ANY BONE. BONE CHEWING PRESENTS A CHOKING RISK AND MAY CAUSE TOOTH FRACTURES AND/OR GI UPSET.
- DO NOT GIVE TO DOGS THAT ARE AGRESSIVE CHEWERS/GULPERS.
- ALWAYS CHOOSE A RECREATIONAL BONE THAT IS LARGER THAN YOUR DOG'S MOUTH CAPACITY AND REMOVE IT IF ANY CONCERNS ARISE (SUCH AS BREAKING OFF PEICES SMALL ENOUGHT TO CONSUME).
- TAKE THE BONE AWAY ONCE THE MEAT AND CONNECTIVE TISSUE HAS BEEN CONSUMED, OR IF YOU NOTICE ANY SPLINTERS.
